April 2018 Chapter Meeting
If you are interested in international development and want to use your engineering skills to make a positive impact, please consider joining us on Tuesday, April 24th. Chapter meetings are a great way for new members and interested volunteers to network with their fellow engineers and planners, learn about the Chapter's three international projects and find opportunities to get involved.
Our guest speakers this month will be Domenico DiGregorio, Fred Volkers and Michael Curtwright of Plumbers Without Borders.
Plumbers Without Borders is a grass-roots, non-profit organization that seeks to connect volunteer plumbing and mechanical tradespersons with organizations committed to increasing access to safe water and sanitation. The vision of PWB is a world where senseless suffering and disease is eradicated by the implementation of appropriate plumbing and sanitary systems. To accomplish this aim, PWB is building an online database network of volunteers, organizations and projects. By connecting plumbing volunteers with organizations and their projects, PWB believes that everyone benefits, helping us all closer to reaching the ultimate goal of improving health in all communities, worldwide.
