The membership committee plays a key role on the non-engineering side of our chapter. This year our goal is to streamline and refine the committee's tasks, including improving the match-up between volunteer opportunities and members' desired level of involvement.
Skills required or will be developed in this role:
* Ability to develop and implement effective strategies for managing membership.
* Communicating with current/potential members and listening to their needs.
* Database management.
* Recruitment of new members to meet chapter needs.
Benefits:
* Networking with members.
* Gain leadership skills. -- Successful, eager committee member will likely become the next committee chair (part of the executive committee).
* Increased influence over the direction of the chapter and direct input on how the chapter meets members' needs.
